Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Wings: Separate each chicken wing into two parts at the joint, and remove the wing tips if desired using sharp kitchen scissors. This helps in even cooking and makes the wings easier to eat.
  2. Season the Wings: Toss the separated chicken wings in 1 tablespoon of sunflower or olive oil to coat them evenly. Sprinkle your chosen seasoning (salt and pepper or one of the suggested spice blends) over the wings and mix well to ensure every piece is nicely seasoned.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the wings into the air fryer basket. If your air fryer has a paddle, use that to toss and cook the wings evenly; otherwise, arrange them in a single layer on the tray to allow air circulation for crisping.
  4. Air Fry: Set the air fryer to cook for 35 minutes. Halfway through, shake or turn the wings for even cooking.
  5. Check and Finish Cooking: After 35 minutes, check if the wings are tender and almost falling off the bone. The skin should be bubbling and crisped. If not fully cooked, continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve Immediately: Remove the wings promptly from the air fryer to prevent steam from softening the crisp skin. Discard any excess fat collected at the bottom of the fryer. Serve the wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
