Instructions

  1. Prepare the Breading Mixture: In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix well to evenly distribute the flavors.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure the breading sticks properly. Optionally, you can lightly pound the breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Spray each chicken breast lightly with olive oil on both sides. Then press each breast firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, coating thoroughly on all sides.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  5. Air Fry the Chicken: Place the breaded chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Spray the top of the chicken lightly with olive oil to help with browning. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
