Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound bacon, cut into halves
  • 12 large eggs
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Seasoning & Topping

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning, for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the bacon slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
  2. Prepare the Eggs: In a large bowl, crack the eggs and add milk or cream, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently push cooked portions towards the center to allow uncooked eggs to flow underneath. Cook until mostly set but still slightly moist, then remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls horizontally, separating the top and bottom halves. Place the bottom half in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer the cooked bacon evenly over the rolls, then spread the scrambled eggs over the bacon. Lay cheese slices evenly on top of the eggs. Carefully place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  4. Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until combined. Brush this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  5. Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crispy.
  6. Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes to set before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding chopped green onions or herbs to the scrambled eggs.
  • Substitute cheddar with your preferred cheese varieties such as Swiss or pepper jack.
  • Use turkey bacon for a leaner option.
  • Everything bagel seasoning is optional but adds a delightful savory crunch.
  • These sliders can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning for convenience.
