Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice until well combined.
  2. Season the salmon: Lightly season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour half of the honey garlic sauce over them. Let them marinate for 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator to absorb flavors.
  4. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  5. Bake the salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet skin-side down. Spoon some of the remaining sauce over the top. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Broil for glaze: Switch the oven to broil, and broil the salmon for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the honey glaze, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon to maintain its moist texture.
  • You can substitute low-sodium soy sauce for a lower salt option.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • Make sure to watch closely during broiling to avoid burning the glaze.
  • This recipe can be doubled or halved depending on serving needs.
