Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups sour cream
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet Ranch seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups chopped dill pickles
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh dill

Toasted Topping

  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Toast Panko Bread Crumbs: In a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. Add ½ cup of Panko bread crumbs and stir frequently for 2-3 minutes until the crumbs are golden brown and toasted. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Combine Dip Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, add 1 ½ cups sour cream, 4 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 packet Ranch seasoning, 1 ½ cups chopped dill pickles, 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon minced fresh dill.
  3. Mix Until Smooth: Use an electric hand mixer to blend all the ingredients together until well combined and creamy.
  4. Chill and Serve: You can serve the dip immediately, or for best flavor, chill for 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to thicken. Before serving, sprinkle the toasted Panko bread crumbs on top and garnish with additional fresh dill if desired. Serve with potato chips.

Notes

  • Toasting the Panko adds a delightful crunch and nutty flavor to the dip’s topping.
  • Chilling the dip allows flavors to meld and improves texture.
  • Use fresh dill for the best aromatic flavor; dried dill can be substituted but in smaller quantity.
  • For a spicier variant, add a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • This dip pairs perfectly with potato chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
